The Chicago Blackhawks Warriors Hockey Program is the military veteran team of the Chicago Blackhawks and was founded in 2015 in conjunction with the USA Disabled Hockey Program to give veterans who have been injured or disabled in the course of their service the opportunity to play hockey in an environment suited to their needs. The program trains them in skills needed to use hockey as a rehabilitation tool to overcome physical and mental disabilities sustained in their service to the nation. We are an Adult Level team that relies solely on fundraising and donations to support our team throughout the season. Our season runs from September through April and concludes with the USA Hockey Disabled Festival which is held in early April each year. At the Festival we compete against other Warrior teams from around the country for National Titles in the Warrior A and B Divisions. We also offer "Summer Skates" during the off season to continually improve our techniques and skills or to just get some extra ice time.
